Abstract

1300063 Flexible skips CROW HAMILTON & CO Ltd 1 Dec 1969 [12 Sept 1969] 45013/69 Heading B8H [Also in Division F2] A flexible slat 1, Fig. 1, supported in a framework 4 has a bottom discharge pipe 1A which is closed by rollers 8, 9 which press together opposite sides of the pipe and are operated by a handle 10 and links 14-17. In a second embodiment one roller 51, Fig. 4, is fixed. Fig. 7 shows an arrangement in which rollers 105 are moved by a screw. Figs. 15, 16 (not shown), illustrate respectively cams and resilient blocks which are moved to close the outlet pipe. Various shapes of skip and other forms of construction are illustrated.
