Abstract
129,931. Schori, R. Jan. 31, 1919. Small plates, metallic.-Metal plates 2, Fig. 1, for shoes are provided with pointed projections 1, one edge of which is at right angles to the end edge of the plate and the other inclined. Various modifications are described. A notch 3, Fig. 2, may be added to give a firmer hold in the leather. In another modification, Fig. 5, the projections may be inclined on opposite edges instead of the same, as shown in Fig. 1, and the shape of the plate 2 may be modified. In another form, Fig. 7, four prongs may be used, and a shoulder 7 will give an inclined surface when needed, as at a worn heel, Fig. 10. In another modification, Fig. 12, the plate may have a raised surface 13. The plates and prongs are stamped out of sheet metal, Figs. 8 and 14, with the parts in alinement as far as possible so as to save waste.
