Abstract

1298835 Binary switching circuits; telegraphy COMPAGNIE INDUSTRIELLE DES TELECOMMUNICATIONS CIT - ALCATEL 5 Dec 1968 [23 Dec 1968] 59654/69 Headings H3T and H4P Momentary interruptions of a double current telegraph signal are removed by a circuit comprising two oppositely disected diodes D1, D2 in series with the receiving line L, two transistors controlling an output switch and having their inputs connected across respective diodes and a time constant circuit for maintaining the output during interruptions. A negative current at L passes through D1 to make T2 conduct and rapidly discharge a capacitor C. A positive current at L causes T 1 and T 3 to conduct to rapidly charge the capacitor and to make the output switch T 4 conduct. If the signal current is interrupted, due for example to the inter mediate position of a telegraph sending relay or between signal elements of the same polarity, both charge and discharge transistors T 2 and T 3 are non-conductive and the capacitor holds the output transistor T 4 in its existing state.
