1298823 Coating thermosetting cores by extrusion SONESSON PLAST AB 26 Nov 1969 [29 Nov 1968] 57879/69 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] A core of thermosetting resin, e.g. carbamide resin containing wood or sawdust, or chalk, enclosed by a thermoplastic resin jacket, may comprise a door or window frame or the sides of a box. The thermosetting resin core including filler is delivered by an extruder directly through the head of a further extruder to harden or set within the thermoplastic resin coating applied by the head, and thereby provide a back pressure to ensure that the core fills the coating. The core preferably contains a minor amount of preferably the same thermoplastic resin to ensure bonding to the coating.
