1298210 3,6 - Dihalo - 4 - aminopyridazines SANDOZ Ltd 19 Dec 1969 [30 Dec 1968 25 July 1969 4 Aug 1969] 32108/72 Divided out of 1298209 Heading C2C Novel 3,6-dihalo-4-aminopyridazines of the general formula wherein R 1 is a hydrogen atom or a C 1-5 alkyl, C 3-5 alkenyl (provided that an ethylenic linkage is not adjacent the nitrogen atom), C 2-4 hydroxyalkyl (provided the OH group is not in the α- position) or phenyl (optionally monosubstituted by a fluorine or chlorine atom or a C 1-5 alkyl, C 1-5 alkoxy or trifluoromethyl group) group and X is a chlorine or bromine atom, provided that when X is a chlorine atom, R 1 is not a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, are prepared by treating 3,4,6 - tri - (bromo - or chloro) - pyridazine with an amine of the general formula R 1 NH 2 .
