1297778 Developing dishes SOLEPHOT S A 9 Dec 1969 [17 Dec 1968] 60047/69 Heading G2A A photographic processing dish 1 has guide means for engaging the edges of a film sheet, and also means for positioning the sheet just clear of the bottom of the dish. This enables only a small amount of processing liquid to be used, and it is envisaged that the liquid is discharged and renewed for each sheet. The dish may also be adapted for engagement with means for imparting to it an oscillatory or vibratory motion to cause the liquid to circulate. As shown in Fig.1, the dish has guiding grooves 2 and 3 near the bottom which engage the edges of the film sheet 4, and also studs or ribs 5, 6 which support it just clear of the bottom. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 5, the sheet may be passed into and out of the dish round rollers. Ribs moulded integrally with the dish, as at 11 and 12, act both as guides and positioning means. Means are provided, Fig. 6 (not shown) for imparting an oscillatory motion to the dish. The dish may be used in automatic photographing equipment, Fig. 7 (not shown), in which the film is exposed in a camera, the exposed length cut off and passed into the dish, which itself progresses from one processing station to another, the processing liquid being emptied and refilled at each station.
