Abstract
1297319 Automatic musical instruments I KAKEHASHI 16 Oct 1970 [10 June 1970] 49250/70 Heading G5J An automatic rhythm device comprises a tempo oscillator 1 feeding a counter comprising a ternary stage 3 and binary stages 4, 5, 6, 7. Selected outputs of the counter are fed to first circuits I and second circuits II. The first circuits comprise summing resistor 8 to produce a desired staircase type waveform which is differentiated at 9. The differentiated pulses are applied to a full wave rectifier 11 producing a negative going pulse train. The second circuits also have summing resistors 8 to produce a staircase type waveform which is clipped at 10 to produce negative pulses at desired times. The negative pulses are differentiated at 12 and the negative differentiated pulses are passed by a diode (not shown). Selected outputs from the first and second circuits are connected to selectors 13a ... 13d ... for various rhythms and selectors 13a. . . 13d. . . actuate percussive generators 14a . . . 14d . . . in the necessary sequence to produce the desired rhythm from loud-speaker 16.
