Abstract

1297224 Filters THOMSON-CSF 19 April 1971 [24 Feb 1970] 21614/71 Heading H1W A band-pass filter comprises at least two cavities 1, 2 having a common wall provided with an adjustable coupling slot 7, the wall being formed by two parallel metal plates 9, 10 between which a metal shutter is slidably mounted, and means to control the sliding of the shutter. The shutter 11 is corrugated to ensure good contact with each plate, with the corrugations perpendicular to the direction of motion of the shutter. The shutter is integral with a threaded sleeve 16 (not shown) which co-operates with a rotatable threaded rod such that rotation of the rod displaces the shutter. Each cavity is provided with an axially adjustable tuning plunger, e.g. 4, 5 and 6.
