1296628 Grills R C WOOD 1 July 1971 30861/71 Heading A4D A grill for steak includes two parallel heater elements 7 which are spaced apart, one on each side of an axis 6 about which they are rotatable, and a removable holder 10 which holds a steak S and may be located between the heater elements 7 and rotated therewith. The heater elements 7, which are preferably electric, are mounted within a housing 5 which is rotatably mounted on a support 16. The housing 5 comprises endplates 17 and 20 spaced apart by rods 21, and a cover 23, and is secured by bolts 25 to a heatinsulating member 26. Member 26 is attached to a flange 29 of an arbor 28, and rotation of the arbor 28, and thus of housing 5 with the elements 7, may be achieved by a motor (30), Fig.3 (not shown) driving the end (31) of the arbor 28. The holder 10 may be inserted into housing 5 through an elongated opening 22 in the end-wall 20. The holder 10 comprises two flat grids 36 and 37 hingedly connected by flexible brackets 39. Associated with brackets 39 is a shaft 42 which may be inserted through a housing 18 in the endwall 17, and through an opening in member 26, to engage non-rotatably with the arbor 28. Shaft 42 may have an extension (43), Fig. 2 (not shown) of polygonal cross-section. The two ends of each heater element 7 are electrically connected to slip rings 32 mounted on the arbor 28 and insulated therefrom by insulating rings 33. An electric voltage may be applied to both the heater elements 7 through brushes 45 which contact the slip rings 32. Non-electrical heater elements 7 may alternatively be used.
