Abstract

1296551 Cathode-ray tube display ELLIOTT BROS (LONDON) Ltd 13 May 1970 [14 May 1969 24 Dec 1969] 24653/69 and 62816/69 Heading H4T A CRT display system includes means for drawing lines (which may be straight or curved) by bright-up during a raster-type scan, comprising two waveform generators producing recurrent signal waveforms, one at line and one at frame frequency, and a comparator receiving the signals and producing a bright-up signal at equality. If the line and frame waveforms are linear the display will be a straight line, and if the line waveform is made parabolic the display will be elliptical. Suitable waveform generators including integrators and summing circuits are described and illustrated schematically. Specification 1,296,552, the claims of which relate to the form and duration of the bright-up pulses, is referred to.
