Abstract

1296367 Moulding ceramic flatware SERVICE (ENGS) Ltd 14 Dec 1970 [16 Dec 1969] 61362/69 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A clay-supporting head 601 includes a rotatable flexible suction gripper (see Division B8) and is rotatable about a vertical axis through four stations. At the first station, a clay disc P is engaged by the head and is then moved to a trimming station, Fig. 2, at which it is engaged by a circular nylon trimming and forming tool 624 and a face trimming tool 340. At the third station, rotation of the clay disc is stopped and the disc is located over a plaster mould yieldably mounted on a support which is raised towards the disc. Compressed air is then supplied to the gripper to transfer the disc to the mould, Fig. 1 (not shown), and the head is moved to a cleaning station.
