Abstract
1296033 Flexible chamber air pumps HERGA ELECTRIC Ltd 29 Jan 1970 [29 Oct 1968 13 March 1969] 51258/68 and 13217/69 Heading F1N [Also in Division H1] Apparatus for the remote fluid-pressure control of an electric switch, comprising a handle 10, Fig.1 having a flexible gripping portion 22 forming a master bellows chamber 32 coupled through a fluid conduit 20 to a slave bellows (44) Fig. 5 (not shown) for operating the remote switch (50). In the example shown in Fig.1 the handle 10 is mounted on a rigid tubular support 12 containing the fluid conduit 20 which is connected to the chamber 32 through passages 18, 34, 36 within the handle wall 26 and a rigid end support plug 16. In other examples a flexible bellows (80) Fig.9 (not shown) is mounted entirely within the rigid tubular support and actuated by a lever (94) extending through the rigid tube in the region of the handle grip. In another modification a non-deformable plastic hand grip may be provided on the tubular support and a small master bellows (72) Fig.7 (not shown) is mounted externally of the rigid tube in the region of the operator's thumb.
