Abstract
1295261 HVDC transmission systems ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO Ltd 20 Jan 1970 [24 Jan 1969] 4205/69 Heading H2F In a system comprising a series arrangement of polyphase converters 1, each includes a by-pass valve 2, by-pass switch 5, by-pass isolator 8 and series isolators 6, 7, connected as shown. A defective converter 1 is isolated by turning on by-pass valve 2 then closing switch 5, isolator 8 and opening series isolators 6, 7 in that order.
