Abstract

1294312 Intruder alarms G A G IVE 17 June 1970 [28 March 1969] 16302/69 Heading G4N In an intruder alarm, a test circuit comprises a relay RL2 energizable in a TEST position 2 of switch SW1, relay RL2 being arranged to inhibit operation of the main alarm 5 but to allow an auxiliary alarm 6 to operate if intrusion conditions are applicable in the TEST position 2 of switch SW1. The intrusion detection arrangements may be of the contact-making type arranged to close contacts RL1/1 upon intrusion. When the premises are to be vacated, SW1 is set to the TEST position 2 so that RL2 will be energized if any of the intrusion detection contacts are not properly set. This energization will be detected by indicator 6. SW1 is set to its ON position 3 when the intrusion detecting contacts have been properly set. Alternatively, RL2 may be energized whenever SW1 is set to the TEST position 2 but can only be reset if the system is in a non-alarm condition.
