Trusses.-In a rectal support of the type in which a pad is applied with resilient pressure bv means of straps attached to a waist-belt, the pad is formed as a hollow bulb 16 having extensions as shown and sliding on a cord 11. This cord is attached at the point 10 to an elastic piece 9 having a slot 8 to slide on the waist-belt 5. The free ends of the cord are laced through holes in the belt and are then tied together. They are rendered elastic by being threaded through elastic inserts 15 in such a way that loops are formed as shown, so that they can stretch to the extent of the loops. The bulb is formed of rubber reinforced as required and lined with fabric.
