231,579. GellÚ, L. E. S. Jan. 1, 1924. Limb binders; elastic stockings.-A surgical legging made of textile or cellular material is closed at the front as shown in Fig. 2 by a lacing f which passes over hooks e or through eyelets &c., a tongue g being provided to prevent chafing. Each side of the legging is provided with an elastic adjusting tape which is threaded over and under links m or through slots in the legging, the material of the legging under the tapes k being sufficiently yieldable or slack as shown in plan at r in Fig. 4 to enable the adjustment of the tension of the tapes to be made. The instep portion passes round the foot and may be secured by straps or laces and eyes.
