1294091 Cushions B C WATKIN 30 Dec 1969 [30 Sept 1968] 46230/68 Heading A4M A lumbar support pad has a support surface 10 shaped to fit against the back of a user in the lumbo-sacral region, the support surface 10 being general convex, as in Fig.3a, in sections taken on vertical planes through the pad, and generally concave, as in Fig. 2, in sections on horizontal planes through the pad, and the general form of the support surface is defined as a smooth surface passing through points located at specified co-ordinates relative to the planar base 4 of the pad. The pad has flat sides and ends 26, 28, 29, may be of foamed plastics, and may be formed integrally with a back rest of a seat.
