Abstract

1293650 Vinylidene fluoride polymer compositions KUREHA KAGAKU KOGYO KK 8 June 1970 [12 June 1969] 27597/70 Heading C3P [Also in Division B2] A powdered vinylidene fluoride polymer composition for coating comprises 100 parts by weight of a polymer selected from homopolymers and copolymers of vinylidene fluoride, each of the copolymers containing at least 90 mol. per cent of vinylidene fluoride, the polymer having an inherent viscosity of from 0À6 to 1À4, as measured in dimethyl formamide at a concentration of 0À4 g./dl. at 30‹ C., and from 10 to 100 parts by weight of an inorganic substance mixed with the polymer and being resistant to attack by acids and alkalis, both the inorganic substance and the polymer being in powder form with an average particle size of from 50 to 325 mesh according to Taylors mesh standard. In the examples the compositions contain vinylidene fluoride polymer, vinylidene/fluoride/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, silica sand, graphite, molybdenum disulphide and chromium oxide.
