Abstract
1292767 Space heating radiators and air heaters; tubular heat exchange elements F CAPORALE and L D'ANTONIO [trading as GRUND AEBI Snc DEI GEOMETRA CAPORALE FRANCO E D'ANTONIO LUCIO] 20 May 1971 16143/71 Heading F4S A combined sectional, space heating radiator and convection air heater, consists of a plurality of tubular elements each as shown in Fig. 3 consisting of a tube 2 with tangential fins 3, 3a providing a heat radiating surface 4, and radial fins which define passages 10-13 through which heated air flows by convection. Additional fins 9 are also provided. The element is preferably formed of extruded aluminium and is oxidized in an anodic bath. The tubular portions 2 of the element, through which the heating fluid flows, may have a copper lining tube 14. Each element extends between header portions (15, 16, Fig. 1) and is connected thereto by bolts 17. The radiator comprises a plurality of the elements disposed side-by-side as shown in Fig. 4.
