Abstract

1291510 Heat treatment furnaces A A BELOUSOV J G IVANOV N A KUZNETSOV V F FOMIN and A G TOMASHEVSKY 1 Dec 1970 [22 Dec 1969] 56946/70 Heading F4B A furnace 1 for the heat treatment of articles includes a mechanism for moving the articles within the furnace which comprises a disc 5 fitted on a horizontal shaft, a ring 9 eccentrically disposed with respect to the disc 5, the ring 9 being hinged to the disc 5 through shackles 10, and buckets 8 mounted on the opposite side of the disc 5 to the ring 9. Each of the shackles 10 is at one end rigidly connected to an axle 11 which extends into the ring 9, and at the other, fixedly connected to an axle 12 passing freely through the disc 5 and serving as a carrier journal for one of the buckets 8. The shackles 10, while rotating, maintain a vertical orientation because of the eccentricity of the ring 9 relative to the disc 5.
