1290754 Packaging; applying adhesive tape AKERLUND & RAUSING AB 15 June 1970 [20 June 1969] 28920/70 Headings B8C and B8F A packaging machine of the general form described in Specification 1,290,755 has rollers 65 on its U-shaped carton holders 30 so that, at the sealing station, the pressure imposed by the sealing shoes 42 can be evenly distributed to fixed frame members with low friction between the holders and the frame. The rollers 65 adjacent the holder drive chains 25 and 26 run permanently on frame members 68. As illustrated, the holders are passing through a station for sealing the lower ends of the cartons 11 and at this station, the lower left hand rollers (as seen in Fig. 3) run on a fixed member 67. At a subsequent station for sealing the tops of the cartons, the top left hand rollers will run on a similar member. In order to ensure even application of pressure to the holders and to ensure that sealing pressure is adequately applied to the carton flaps 21, a bar 66 is placed during sealing so that its limb 77 lies between the flaps 21 and holder lugs 78. The bar 66 and its mounting bar 80 are moved in orbital manner at the sealing station by drive chains 95. The chains are connected to the bar 80 by pins 101 carrying guide rollers 108 which contact fixed guide channels 110, 111 during the straight runs of the chains 95. So that variations in the positions of the holders 30 and the lugs 78 can be accommodated, the mounting of the bar 66 on the bar 80 includes coil springs and Belville springs, Figs. 6 and 11 (not shown), so that the bar 66 can float both vertically and horizontally,
