The spiral may be up to three turns and formed as a slot in the dish or by a raised portion on the dish. The spiral may extend into the delivery duct 31. Two spirals may be formed on one dish. The dish may also have humps 40, 42 thereon. Yarn passing over the edges of the raised type of spiral is cleaned of adherent husk residue.
