Abstract

1290281 Knitting machines KARL MAYER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK GmbH 18 Jan 1971 [21 Jan 1970] 2343/71 Heading D1C In a warp knitting machine, at least two actuating members 8, 9 are provided for each guide bar, each having a shogging cam and being independently slidable in one direction to shog the guide bar by adjusting means 6, 7 in accordance with the required pattern. Multi position pneumatic cylinders 6, 7 each comprising six component cylinders arranged end to end are mounted on a swing lever 3 which also carries members 8, 9 slidable thereon and is reciprocated by disc cam 4. Pawls 12, 13 carried on lever 3 engage alternately with teeth 10, 11 on members 8, 9 being actuated by abutments 14, 15 as lever 3 reciprocates. Actuators 8, 9 selectively actuate guide bar 17 through lever 16. The supply of air under pressure to cylinders 6, 7 is controlled by valves 20, 21 controlled by signals produced by reader 1 so as to correspond to the pattern stored in the perforated tape. In a modification, lever 16 is moved by a cam engaging its end instead of members 3, 8, 9 (Fig. 2 not shown).
