The bars c rest on the edges of the pit and have longitudinal depending webs c<2> perforated at f to receive devices g for holding the hides j edgewise. The device g may be a chain carrying a nip-hook. It is stated in the Provisional Specification that the solution is stirred by lifting and lowering the frame and hides.
