Abstract

1288171 Coating pipes SEA & LAND PIPELINES Ltd 30 April 1971 12408/71 Heading B2L A method of coating a pipe comprises spreading a deposit 3a of coating material between spaced bands 2 by means of a roller 4 using the bands as thickness gauges. The bands are removed after coating and more coating material is spread into the spaces left thereby using the applied areas of coating as a thickness gauge. The coating material may be an epoxy resin and the bands may be provided with releasable fastenings to facilitate removal.
