Abstract
1288078 Travel cases GILCHRIST & FISHER Ltd 28 July 1970 [25 June 1969] 32025/69 Heading A4G A travel case with soft end faces is constructed by having rigid, e.g. metal frames 5 inserted in longitudinally split and flanged piping 3, 4, the flanges 3a, 4a being respectively sewn to the edge of the bottom 1 and mouth edge of annular side wall or girdle 2 formed of flexible covering material inside out as in Fig. 1. One frame is then passed through the other to bring the case rightside out as in Fig. 3 after which a stiffening material 9 is inserted inside the girdle 2. The hinged lid may be similarly constructed with a rigid frame or may be replaced by soft lid secured by a sliding fastener.
