Abstract

1287491 Dyeing cellulose esters in the spinning solution CIBA-GEIGY AG 11 Feb 1970 [20 Feb 1969] 6568/70 Heading C3F Cellulose ester, particularly cellulose acetate, spinning solutions are dyed by adding a dyestuff of the general formula in which Z represents a secondary or tertiary amino group, R 1 and R 2 each represent an alkyl, cyanoalkyl, alkoxy alkyl, acyloxyalkyl, cyanoalkoxy alkyl or carbalkoxyalkyl residue, and R 1 may also represent a hydrogen atom, X 1 and X 2 each represent a halogen atom or a nitro, cyano, alkyl, alkoxy or acylamino group, and one of the two X's may also represent a hydrogen atom, Y 1 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl, alkoxy, acylamino, or phenoxy group, and Y 2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or alkoxy group, to the spinning solution before the shaping operation and without the addition of a dispersing agent. The cellulose ester spinning solutions may comprise as solvent acetone, methyl acetate, dimethyl formamide, dimethyl sulphoxide or a halogenated hydrocarbon.
