Abstract

1287361 Polymerizing vinyl chloride CHEMISCHE WERK HULS AG 13 Jan 1970 [14 Jan 1969] 1536/70 Addition to 1245321 Heading C3P Vinyl chloride is polymerized in aqueous emulsion using as emulsifier an alkali metal salt of a C 12 -C 24 α-sulphofatty acid in an amount of 0À6-4% by wt. based on monomer at a pH of 2-5 and there is added, prior to separation of the polymer, 0À1-0À8% by wt. based on solids of an alkaline reagent.
