Abstract

1287241 Making terminals AMP Inc 19 April 1971 [14 Feb 1970] 20241/71 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] A row of electrical terminal blanks 1 is supported between side carrier portions 2, each blank being connected to an adjacent bank by a further carrier portion 8. After removal of the carrier portion 2 terminals are formed by folding the body part 4 about its transverse centre line to form two back-to-back receptacles for mating with a flat tab terminal. The carrier portion 8 is then cut away to free the terminal from the strip. Leg portions 7 form a single tapered leg 11, which is inserted into an aperture in a carrier plate and possibly soldered therein.
