1286978 Disinfectant compositions JEYES GROUP Ltd 14 Dec 1970 [12 Sept 1969] 45204/69 Heading A5E A disinfectant composition comprises an alkyl benzene sulphonic acid, an organic or inorganic acid (other than an alkyl benzene sulphonic acid), and a disinfectant (other than an alkyl benzene sulphonate), the composition having a pH of not more than 6. The disinfectant may be a high boiling tar acid, a phenol or an halogenated phenol, and the acid may be acetic acid. The composition is generally a solution or suspension of the active ingredients in water, but organic carrier liquids also may be present. Optional ingredients are low molecular weight alkyl benzene sulphonates, glycol or derivatives thereof, complex polyhydric alcohols or alkylolamides.
