Abstract

1284486 Nucleoside-5<SP>1</SP>-polyphosphates ASAHI KASEI KOGYO KK 20 Feb 1970 [17 May 1969] 8238/70 Heading C2P A nucleoside-5<SP>1</SP>-polyphosphate is prepared by reacting the corresponding nucleoside-5<SP>1</SP>- phosphorodihalide with phosphoric acid or pyrophosphoric acid or an organic amine salt of one of these acids, in an organic solvent, and hydrolysing the resulting reaction mixture by contacting with water. When phosphoric or pyrophosphoric acid is used, the reaction is preferably carried out in the presence of an organic amine. The nucleoside- 5<SP>1</SP> -phosphoro - dihalide starting materials may be prepared by phosphorylating the corresponding nucleoside in which the 2<SP>1</SP> and 3<SP>1</SP> hydroxy groups are unprotected with a halogenated phosphorus compound. Specified nucleosides are cytidine, adenosine, uridine, guanosine and inosine.
