1284424 Wire baskets; ornamenting furniture COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON HOUSTONHOTCHKISS BRANDT 21 Oct 1969 [23 Oct 1968] 51617/69 Headings A4G and A4U [Also in Divisions B6 and E2] An embellisher for openwork articles made of metal wires comprises as shown in Fig.2 a C- section strip 5 and at least two resilient fixing members 6 having a cross-section in the form of the capital letter omega whose generally cylindrical body when mounted partially embraces the frame 3 of the article and the lips of which are slidably but firmly retained in the hollow of the C-section strip. The embellisher may be mounted on gridlike shelves for refrigerators, arms of pieces of display furniture, baskets for foodstuffs. The C- section strip may be metal or plastics. Members 6 may be longer than the space between two consecutive wires of the openwork article, in which case they are formed with longitudinally aligned slots to receive the wires in the ends of their cylindrical parts. The orientation of the embellisher depends on the position of the slots. Each member may have a plurality of such slots each corresponding to a predetermined orientation of the embellisher.
