1284144 Pipe brackets H P KING Ltd 1 July 1971 [14 April 1970] 17566/70 Heading A4B [Also in Divisions E2 and F2] A method of supporting flue pipes comprises encircling the pipe P with a length or lengths of strip material 8, perforated throughout its length and cut to the desired length on site, securing the ends of this strip or strips in one or more anchor members 4, tensioning the strip to grip around the pipe, clamping the or each anchor member on a support arm 3 and securing each arm to a support bracket 2 fixed to a supporting structure. The anchor members preferably have two spaced apart feet, shaped to bed against the pipe and the tensioning means may include a screw-threaded device mounted in the anchor member or members with means to engage the strip through one of its perforations. Fig.3 (not shown) shows an arrangement for mounting a pipe horizontally from a floor.
