The means for establishing the air column length may consist of liquid poured into the bottle, or may consist of a rod passing through the top of the bottle with a disc mounted transversely on its lower end. Several bottles 22 may be arranged to contain liquid, to a different level in each, so that the notes emitted correspond to those of a musical scale. A template with the required level of liquid for each note marked on it may be placed against each bottle to facilitate tuning. The other ends of tubes 18 may be secured in holes of a mouthpiece 13, which may have the corresponding notes written by each hole, so that required notes may be obtained by blowing down the appropriate holes.
