1282209 Teaching numbers G R HAMPSON 24 April 1970 19858/70 Heading G5G An array device for educational purposes comprises a plurality of rows of blocks 6 pivotally mounted on members 4 fixed in a support 1, stops 3 being provided to limit the pivoting of the blocks, the arrangement being such that the blocks may be pivoted to display an alternative numeral or numeral in a different colour. Two stops 3 may be provided (Fig. 3, not shown), the pivots 4 for the blocks being off-centre. Alternatively, the blocks 6 may abut against a backing sheet in one position in which case the rear stop 3 is omitted. Preferably 10 rows of 10 blocks 6 are used to display numerals 1-100 (or 0-99) or the products and/or sums of numbers from 1-10 (or 0-9).
