Abstract

1282196 Waste fittings GROHE HANDELS GmbH 25 Feb 1970 [25 Feb 1969] 9186/70 Heading A4N [Also in Division F2] In a combination of a sanitary appliance and an outlet connector two parts 1, 5 are secured together by a screw-threaded member, e.g. a screw 10, the ports having co-operating serrations, e.g. ribs and grooves 4, 8, so that the ports 1, 5, may be held against relative rotation in any selected one of a plurality of possible angular positions. As shown the screwhead may be located in a recess 14 when the shank is screwed into a topping 12 in a spiden 13 attached to port 1. Alternatively a transverse screw in the wall of part 1 may locate in a peripheral groove in the spigot of part 5. The connecting parts may be formed as inserts 2, 6, soldered into the outlet and outflow pipes respectively or may be in one piece with the appliance and the elbow 5 respectively. The sanitary appliance may be a bath tub or wash bowl. Sealing is effected by rings 8, 11.
