Abstract

1282113 Dyeing with solutions of disperse dyes YORKSHIRE CHEMICALS Ltd 18 Dec 1969 [25 Jan 1969] 4327/69 Heading D1B Heat resistant fibres i.e. fibres which retain their fibre properties at 250‹C or above are dyed or printed with solutions of disperse dyes dissolved in an alkylene carbonate an alkyl an aryl glycol ether a substituted cyclohexane compound or mixture of two or more thereof by treating with the solution followed by fixation by steaming or heating in an enclosed chamber. The dye solutions may contain water, specified solvents are ethylene and propylene carbonates, 2-phenoxyethanol, cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone and cyclohexylamine. Preferably the fibres are washed after fixation in hot water containing a surface active agent.
