Abstract
128,199. Naamlooze Vennootschap Machinefabriek Brons. June 13, 1918, [Convention date]. Louver and like floors.-In apparatus of the type in which series of perforated plates are arranged in tiers and are pivoted so that each series can be turned to deliver the material on to the plates below, pairs of plates are pivoted coaxially, but are capable of independent movement so that they can be brought parallel to one another with the material between them, thus turning it completely over. Fig. 7 shows in plan a pair of plates 2, 3. The plate 3 is fixed rigidly to the axle 4 whilst the plate 2 is fixed to a sleeve 5 turning thereon. Levers 6, 7 allow the plates to be turned independently. In operation, the material is placed on the plates whilst they are horizontal, as shown in the upper part of Fig. 1. Each pair of plates is then turned to the position shown in Fig. 3 and, with the material between them, then to the position shown in Fig. 4 and backwards and forwards, as often as necessary. Finally, one of the plates is lowered as shown in the second tier of Fig. 1, and the material is delivered to the next series of plates, where the process is repeated.
