Abstract

1281787 Vehicle dashboards HONDA GIKEN KOGYO KK 1 April 1970 [28 April 1969] 15493/70 Heading B7H [Also in Division H2] Fuses 1 of a motor vehicle are contained in a holder detachable without the use of tools from the car body directly into the passenger compartment of the car. As shown, the fuses are mounted in a drawer like fusebox 3 slidable into an aperture (8, Fig. 3, not shown) of the vehicle dashboard by ribs 9 engaging grooves (10) of the aperture. Pins 4 electrically connected to fuse holder 2 engage sockets (6, Fig. 2, not shown) within the aperture which are wired so as to include said fuses within the car circuitry when said pins engage said sockets. A spare fuse may be retained in the box. A plate 11 of the box forms a flush surface with the dashboard and a recess 17 enables the box to be withdrawn from the aperture by hand. A plate 12 carries labels for the circuitry associated with each fuse. Two such fuse boxes may be included in a car.
