Abstract

1281076 Pens for recording instruments A B DICK CO 22 Aug 1969 [22 Aug 1968] 42059/69 Heading B6P An ink drop writing nozzle construction comprises a tube 42 for conducting ink, the tube being mounted in a housing 40 which is periodically elongated axially by piezo-electric crystals 46, 50 in order to constrict the tube 42. The crystals 46, 50 are urged against a flange 40B by a nut 56 engaging a threaded portion 40E, and electrical pulses are applied to a contact 48 and to a metal support 54. A jewel 44 is provided at the outlet end of the nozzle.
