Abstract

1280870 Fuel cells ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 8 Oct 1969 [9 Oct 1968] 49350/69 Heading H1B [Also in Division F1] Fuel for a power plant is stored in the form of a hydroaromatic hydrocarbon or a mixture of at least two hydroaromatic hydrocarbons which split during operation to form hydrogen and the corresponding aromatic hydrocarbon, the hydrogen produced being supplied (25) as fuel to a fuel cell 10. The fuel cell charges -an accumulator 12 which is connected to a D.C. motor 14. The fuel is led to a heated reactor 22 containing a catalyst. The fuel may be hexahydrobenze which is split to form a mixture of hydrogen and benzene. The mixture is led to a cooler 24 in which the benzene 'condenses, the hydrogen being supplied to the fuel cell 10.
