Abstract

1280759 Fluid actuators ISLEF & HAGEN A S 3 Dec 1970 [3 Dec 1969] 57542/70 Heading F1P In a working cylinder for liquids and gases, end covers 2, 3 of the cylinder comprise magnetically inductive feelers 9, 10 which are supplied with alternating current to produce a magnetic field directed into the interior of the cylinder, and a piston 4 consists of an electrically conducting material. The field produced by the feelers 9, 10 produces eddy currents in the piston when it approaches one or the other end of the cylinder, thereby producing a charge in the current in the feeler. Inlet and outlet ports 7, 8 are formed in the end covers 2, 3.
