1280703 Oxidation catalysts W R GRACE & CO 25 Aug 1969 [23 Aug 1968] 42303/69 Heading B1E [Also in Division C2] Oxidation catalysts comprise 1-20% V 2 O 5 , 0.1-9 moles of Sb 2 O 3 per mole of V 2 O 5 , K 2 SO 4 or K 2 S 2 O 7 and 30-95% TiO 2 , the catalysts having a K 2 O content of 0.4-4 moles per mole of Sb 2 O 3 and an SO 3 content of 0.5-3 moles per mole K 2 O. Use of Al 2 O 3 and SiO 2 together with TiO 2 as carrier intrisit activity. The catalysts may be calcined at 300-700‹C. Comparative examples are given.
