1280406 Lithium hexafluorophosphate and arsenate USS ENGS & CONSULTANTS Inc 29 May 1970 [29 May 1969] 26125/70 Heading C1A [Also in Divisions C2 and C3] Lithium hexafluorophosphate and lithium hexafluoroarsenate may be obtained by warming the hexafluorophosphate and hexafluoroarsenate salts of tetra-acetonitrilolithium ((CH 3 CN) 4 LiXF 6 , X being P or As) under a partial vacuum. The latter salts may be obtained from crude lithium hexafluorophosphate which may be obtained by reacting together lithium fluoride and phosphorus pentafluoride or by reacting hexafluoroarsenic acid with lithium hydroxide.
