Abstract

1280101 Circular saw L JAGERS 7 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 16441/70 Heading B5L [Also in Division E2] In a circular cold saw, in which the saw blade support means, driving motor, and drive transmission gearing are carried on a bifurcated rocker arm, a bearing system for the rocker arm comprises a fixed pivot bolt 6 with frustoconical bushes 9a, 9b drawn towards each other by means of a screw 16 and is characterized in that a compression spring 18 is provided between the screw and one of the bushes. As described, the bushes 9a, 9b are located in frusto-conical bores 8a, 8b in the bifurcate members 5a, 5b of the rocker arm and are held against rotation by pins 10a, 10b respectively. The screw 16 is threaded into a bore 12 in the bolt 6 and its head engages one end of a stack of spring plates 18 the other end of which engages a flange 15 on a sleeve 13 slidable in a bore 11 of the bolt 6. The bushes 9a, 9b are urged towards each other by a flange 14 on the sleeve 13 and a collar 6a on the bolt 6. An enlarged portion 17 of the bolt 16 abuts the end of the bore 11.
