Abstract

1279972 Corrugated tube CREATORS Ltd 29 Sept 1969 [28 June 1968] 31089/68 Heading B5A [Also in Division F2] In the manufacture of extruded plastics tube 8 annular corrugations are produced in the tube's periphery by contact with at least two wheels 6 having teeth. As shown, the tube 8 is supplied from a die 8, in a plastic condition, to the wheels 6 which are in a low-pressure chamber 2 (the low-pressure aiding the accuracy of corrugation). The fluid of tank 4 aids cooling of the tube 8.
