1279849 Spring upholstery SILENTNIGHT Ltd 29 July 1970 [30 June 1969] 32877/69 Heading A4M In a spring unit comprising a plurality of interconnected springs 2 the opposite end coils of border springs are engaged between the limbs (3a, 3b) of plastics strips 3 of channel section, the limbs converging towards their free ends and being resiliently separable to receive and clamp the end coils of the springs. The end coils are additionally retained in the strip 3 by spaced welds 4, Fig.2 (not shown) along the free ends of the limbs (3a, 3b), by metal clips 5, Fig.3 (not shown) engaged around the strip 3, or by a wire 6, Fig.4 (not shown) wound helically around the strip 3.
