Abstract

1279779 Valves NORRIS SYSTEMS Ltd 19 Dec 1970 60397/70 Addition to 1197897 Heading F2V [Also in Division H1] The valve of the parent Specification is improved, in that the tapered needle closures are replaced by closure discs 6a, 6b which cooperate with annular seats 5a, 5b and are movable between limit positions. As shown, the limit positions are defined by exhaust seats 14a, 14b. The discs are clamped against 0-rings 18, 21 which afford the discs some freedom to align with the seats. The moving coil preferably has a number of windings in parallel. The valve may be used for rapid on-off control of vacuum in high speed paper or tape transport systems.
