Abstract

1279227 Radio signalling; inductive signalling INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 15 Oct 1970 [15 Oct 1969] 49052/70 Headings H4L and H4U In a system for transmitting route information to drivers of road vehicles, information concerning a plurality of routes may be fed via input 4 of a unit 12 stationed at a road intersection, to a device 3 where it is stored and fed out sequentially in digital form to a transmitter 2 having aerials 1 arranged in the road lanes. Additional information such as traffic density may be fed in by a computer 5 which also co-operates with other units 12. Equipment 14 is carried by the vehicles and the driver enters his desired destination at 8. This signal is compared at 9 with the incoming route information received at 9 and if it corresponds visible or audible instructions are given via a device 10 and an alarm 11 is operated.
