Abstract

1278379 Regenerating bleaching earths METALLGESELLSCHAFT AG 10 Aug 1970 [16 Aug 1969] 38524/70 Heading C1A Bleaching earths, laden with fat, grease and/or oil, are regenerated by (a) selectively extracting the fat, grease or oil with a solvent therefor, (b) roasting at 350-550‹ C. in a fluidized bed and then treating with a mineral acid, e.g. hydrochloric acid, preferably at 60-70‹ C. in order to remove inorganic impurities.
